sigh...
have a very lethargic hen this morning...
old age i fear...
can't decide if i should go out and say thank you and cull her and have soup tonight or let her live out her time and leave her out in a field for the coyotes after she goes...

How sad it is, but I think she would rather feed the person that fed her versus feeding a coyote. Tell her thank you, hug her, & crock pot her.

If it is indeed old age, there is no grace in dying naturally. I have found a number of my poor elderly girlys in various contorted shapes having finally given up on the battle to live

Whatever you decide, dont feel bad. As you know the hen, you can judge for yourself if her quality of life is not good and she's suffering unnecessarily.
