I have a GLW who suddenly went paralized while free ranging. She was always my healthiest chicken and only just turned 2. Her comb is bright red and she is very alert. I don't have a vet around and I have been giving her all my attention for a month. She is flapping her wings when held and can use her voice when upset, but does not have any use at all of her legs. The one leg trembles a lot when I hold her and it swings free. I love my baby and can't see her like this anymore. Am I being selfish keeping her alive or should I do the humane thing and have her put to sleep. Can someone help me? Please.

She sounds like she may have symptoms of Marek's disease. Usually it starts with walking difficulty and paralysis of leg or legs. You may want to check out information on Marek's disease to see if her symptoms seem the same.
