Yesterday I noticed my female talouse goose limping. So I checked her feet and sprayed them with antiseptic spray. Today she just stays in one place laying down. She acts like she wants to drink but then doesn’t. I put her in her nest of hay but then she doesn’t lay down, she just stands there. I wondered if she was egg bound but I checked and didn’t feel an egg. She has a little bit of mucous coming out of her vent mixed with poop. I gave her clean water with ACV. Any recommendations on what she might be sick with and how to help her?

Do you have any Calcium Gluconate? it is the best there is to get an egg moiving. TSC has it.
If egg bound they don't last long. so getting her the calcium gluconate asap.
When did she lay last? How old is she?

soaks in a warm tub can help them relax and might help her lay. but if at all possible get the cal glu.
She is about a year old now… she has access to oyster shells and eats them frequently. So I didn’t think she was deficient in it. I will put her in a warm bath this morning. And try to get the calcium gluconate

The calcium gluconate works to cause contractions to move the egg. @Amiga was the member who taught us about it when one of her ducks was egg-bound and the vet put her duck on the Cal glu.
Another thing can be she has an egg pressing on a nerve and is causing her to limp and be lame. here is info

Thank you for the advice… I gave her a warm bath and over 2 days gave her 2 doses of the calcium gluconate. She passed an egg after not laying for about 4-5 days. It was a soft shelled egg. She walked around slowly yesterday morning but by the evening she was almost back to normal. Hopefully we don’t have to go through that again but if we do I know what to do.
