I have an approx 16 month old Lavender Orpington. She has been laying since last August. Yesterday I found her curled up under the water bucket in a corner. She is barely walking and her backside is pulsing. I read information from various forums here, and thought she might be egg bound so I gave her a warm bath (she was calm and seemed to be working to expel something after about 20-30 minutes.). Nothing came out so I tried to carefully feel in the vent with gloved and lubricated finger. I can't feel anything. Some watery poop and gas came out. I tried a second bath. No luck. I returned her to her coop for the night and found her back under the water bucket again this morning. She is bright eyed and her comb is red, but her backside is bulging and pulsing and she is barely moving. She won't eat or drink. I tried offering her a fresh cherry this morning usually a favorite treat. Please help. I need ideas and suggestions.
