Hi all, my hen isn’t looking normal. She’s very calm (usually is pretty busy) and doesn’t seem well. I’m attaching a picture of what was under her roosting bar last night. She seems to have throw up or had an abscess rupture when I picked her up but I couldn’t tell what the liquid was from. Thanks for any help!

That looks like a runny dropping. Can you describe her symptoms, tell us how her crop feels (full, hard, puffy, empty,) is she eating and drinking, what diet she has been on, if she is laying eggs, and any other things you think of?

From my research, I think it might be sour crop. She laid one egg (her first egg) while roosting in the night the other day. Her crop is swollen and squishy, seems to be large and full of liquid. She’s on a grower feed (she’s 18 weeks) with oyster shell supplement. They also free range in the evening before bed. She hasn’t been interested in food and water but I did isolate her without food and water this morning when I suspected sour crop. She was fine yesterday so this just came on this morning from what I can tell. This is my first flock so I am just appreciative of any tips.
