I’m not sure if my posts are getting posted in the right spot but I’ve been trying to get help. I have a one year old hen who has her tail feathers pointing down, her comb and waddles are pale and she sits more than anything . I’ve deworming in water along with anti diarrhea and pale comb and woddles medication. I’m attaching pictures . I can’t get her into a vet, thier too busy.

The way she is standing, she could be suffering from a reproductive disorder. Has she been laying eggs recently? How does her crop feel--empty and flat, full, hard, doughy, or puffy? Is her lower belly fuller or enlarged? Will she eat anything or drink?

She is eating, her belly feels soft but possibly swollen . Haven’t seen any eggs but my other two aren’t either I thought it might be because they are mounting

Molting is certainly a time where they don’t feel as well, and they may not eat as well or be as sociable. But her posture really shows that she has something wrong. Reproductive issues, such as salpingitis and egg yolk peritonitis are very common in chickens. Egg masses inside the abdomen from salpingitis, cancer, and water belly (ascites) can cause that appearance. All of those are eventually fatal. If the lower belly is full of fluid, you can drain it with a sterile 18 gauge needle and large syringe. It will usually come back, but it might make her more comfortable. Infection or even death rarely, is a risk.

I would feel of her crop early in the morning before she eats or drinks to make sure that it is emptying overnight.
