Sick Hen

Hi,

I have a hen that is sick. She is a young hen.

A couple of days ago she was limping but when I caught her and looked at her leg/foot there were no obvious signs of something being wrong and it seemed to get better.

I just went out to the chickens though and she was lying in the shade and I first thought she was dead. When I picked her up she was very much alive but she is very weak.

I have her in a crate w/ water.

There is a clear discharge from her vent. Does not smell. No sign that I can see of an egg in there.

Ideas?

Possibly eggbound? You won't be able to see the egg if she is-you will have to feel the area underneath and around the vent.

I am sorry I can't be of much help myself. Adding pics if you have them will help someone more experienced than I be able to offer advice.
