All my chickens got the chicken covid (not the scientific term) with all the symptoms. It went through the whole flock and the last to get it was my broody hen that was sitting on eggs. She is better now but the chicks just started hatching. Will they get sick right away? I am thinking I need to pull them from the mother as soon as they all hatch. Any thoughts?

Welcome To BYC

Can you be a bit more specific to what your flock has? Is it Mycoplasma, Infectious Bronchitis, Infectious Coryza, etc.?

What are the symptoms?

Hard to know if the chicks will get sick once they hatch.

I don't know the difference. I would say it was infectious bronchitis. They all were very congested. Some had swollen faces. They were all gasping to. My rooster never got sick however. I treated them with Vet RX and added vitamins to the water as well as electrolytes.

I've linked information about various diseases below.

You may be right that it was IB if you were able to resolve the issue without antibiotic treatment. It is contagious, so your chicks may end up sick, it's very hard to know. If Mama hen is Asymptomatic, then they may not become sick.
