Hi I am new to having chickens
I have 4 six week old chicks. Today my white leghorn stopped running around and is sitting facing the wall. She had been running around healthy so it seems weird she would just stop Another chick and her seemed to be competing to being the leader. She doesn't have any noticeable injury just seems sick compared to the other ones. Any thoughts?

I had two roosters once and the dominant one 'got' all of the hens. The other rooster started just standing in the corner of the run with his back to the flock. One day I realized that he was indeed depressed and needed his own hen. So I got him one and it promptly fixed the problem. I say this because it's not impossible that she's depressed or dejected, but she may be sick or injured (from the other chick?). Have you checked her over well? Are her poops looking good? Is she eating well? Moving normally? Is she loosing weight?

Hi thanks for your thoughts she is drinking water But I separated her from the others so I could tell if she was eating and she is not eating and no poop all day

You could try tempting her with special food - it's important that she eat. My birds were sick (still don't know for sure what it was, not parasites), and I was able to get them to eat greens, peas, berries, sesame, meal worms, etc. etc. all ground up together in a food processor. If you can afford it, you can always take her to the vet, although I have found that non-avian vets don't know what they are doing when it comes to chickens. You should check her vent to make sure it's clear/not plugged and healthy looking. Check her mouth if you can, make sure all looks right in there. Put crushed garlic in her water (4 cloves to a gallon). Get her some electrolyes and probiotics for the water (tractor supply sells them and most feed stores).

Maybe someone with more experience with sick chicks will respond.
