We have a white peahen about 2 years old. She has always been very laid back and calm and stays close to the flock but not really engaged. But she has been keeping her wings dropped and staying far away from the flock for about 2 weeks now. We noticed last night she would not perch as well. We are keeping her separate now and she has plenty of food options plus electrolytes added to her only water. We gave her pour on ivermectin 3 days ago. Any thoughts on what maybe going on. None of the "normal" sicknesses seem to fit. Maybe could this just be how she carries herself? She is a smaller peahen and she does feel very thin compared to the others.

Welcome aboard, I hope you find an answer as to what's going on with the peahen. I'm still pretty new here and don't know a lot of folks, but if @Pyxis doesn't have an answer,I'm sure she'll know who does! Good luck to you!

Mmh my first thinking is she is just starting to lay eggs(she has just come of age as well). A few days before a peahen lays an egg she will carry herself just like that and at times not perch. It may be a sickness though. For the past two weeks has this behavior been non stop? If so that's not normal.
