Sick Pekin Quarantined

Hi All! This might be a stupid question but going to ask for advice anyway.

Our pekin female has been really sick since last Saturday. She’s been on two antibiotics. They think she might have a joint infection. She has pain meds too. Ive been keeping her 5 other duck friends away but besides the obvious of not feeling well, she seems sad. Wondering if I should bring the ducks over for a visit to maybe cheer her up?

They came for a visit about 4 days ago but she can’t leave with them so it seems like it’s even worse.
Im probably over thinking this but it’s heartbreaking to see her like this.

Is there any way you might be able to put one of her friends with her?

Is there a particular reason she can't be with the other ducks - sounds like it's not contagious? If you're limiting her walking or trying to keep her clean, maybe one of those wire dog crates she can see through placed into the regular duck area? Or a friend in with her wherever you're keeping her.

We have drakes so she has to be separated from them. Also, when she was feeling her lowest, I noticed the females were pecking at her and pulling some feathers out. So this is when I separated her.
They came for a visit yesterday and again this morning.

I could set up the dog pen in their barn And see how this goes or bring the females to the garage where she is staying
What are your thoughts.

I just put a limping Runner in my small yard to keep her from running up an down the hills with the rest and put one of her friends in with her for company it really helps them to have at least one buddy.

I’ll do this. She is finally starting to eat more so she is still weak. But the pen will keep her safe and I’ll check on her a lot. Thank you for your input!

I had another one of my Runners from sprain in a dog x pen for close to a month right out with everyone during the day. It takes a long time for healing but so worth it for their morale to have their friends close by . I hope your girls heals too!
