Hi I’m needing help! I just thought I lost my polish hen from egg bound but now my roo is not doing well! So im not sure if they are related!
His poo is bright green and very fibrous with white see picture. He wasn’t doing well Thursday, I gave home 2 Epson baths, I had some Clavamox 250mg chews on hand and crushed it up and added a little water and gave it to him in by a syringe. Fed him scrambled eggs with oregano. He didn’t eat a lot but pecked a few bites. Then I had to syringe nutri drench and water. He also started to breathe gurgling so I put vetrx under his wings and neck. Kept inside with me in cage. Friday am he started to look so much better, crowing and I did the same thing ..epson bath eggs etc! He was more active I let him walk around in the room a little bit, but he was still pooping green. Then last night he started to sound funny again making weird breathing noise not a lot but just a little! I’m wondering if I should continue the clavamox! His poo is still very green! Any thoughts or suggestions?

Do you have other chickens or roosters besides the hen? How old is he? Does he live outdoors usually? What do you feed him? Do you see any swelling of his eyelids or face, watery or bubbly eye, nasal drainage, or sneezing? Do you have a picture of him? Is his crop emptying overnight by morning before he eats or drinks?

Hi he is 2 and yes he lives with other hens and they seem fine.i have henhouse reserve, scratch and peck layer mash feed and also provide crumbles from kalmbauch. As of this am he seems fine! He was crowing away in my room and all ancy to get out of the cage! I took him outside to his girls and he’s running around like he is totally fine! I saw his poop it’s not as bright green as those pictures. Here is the video of him Thursday when he was really bad!! I literally thought he was going to die!
Also, I felt his crop and it feels empty. No drainage from eyes or mouth over the past few days.

I didn’t see a video, but you can upload one to YouTube with a link here. Make sure he is eating because the dark green poop usually mean he is not eating. Offer some scrambled egg or tuna, and try wetting a little feed.
