Sick Quail Chick!!

My 2 month old chick has a swollen vent and most of the time its droppings get stuck to it and causes its vent to be plugged. It eats well and is active the majority of the time. Could it be due to his diet (lettuce and boiled egg) or the fact that his bedding is sand. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

Diet. Get him on turkey starter or gamebird food.

It also needs fresh water all the time & make sure it isn't getting to hot.
