Sick rooster!!!! Help please!!!!

My black copper maran is acting really lethargic. He has had watery poop shooting out of his butt and we picked him up today and there was liquid coming out from his beak. He is eating fine and everything. I don't know what could be wrong and should I take him to the vet.

Welcome, sorry about your find!

At this point, where he is having problems at both ends.. I would take him to a vet!

And, let the folks you got him from know about this. Maybe they didn't know..maybe they do, but they need to have their flock stay put..no more placing or selling! They need to know!

I'm sorry your rooster is ill. If you have a vet that will see chickens, take him in. You could also post over on the emergency forum to see what folks there tell you:

He is probably very dehydrated - it would be best to take him to a vet - this is something that will bring him down very fast.

I would suspect an infection or internal blockage. If you haven't already, I'd recommend posting in the Emergencies / Diseases / Injuries and Cures section.
