Hi all,my white silkie Bell seems to have lost most of the use in her legs. She started off with a bit of a wobbly walk, now she can hardly walk at all. When she tries she falls on to her side and can not get up.I have look up her symptoms and it looks like she has had a stroke? any ideas of what else it could be? It is heart breaking to see her like this :-(

Im not sure what the problem is, but I had a silkie do the same thing and he died

He could walk but he stumbled a lot. He was eating fine too.
Is yours eating/drink fine? I was trying to look up info. Was your bird vaccinated for mareks? I read that can cause paralysis..although it could be something else. :\\

Hi thanks for the reply, yes she is eating and drinking fine. When she can get to it,I have to pick her up and put her next to it.she seems to have got a lot worse today. No she hasn't had that vaccination,I am not sure what to do.Should I see how she goes or take her to a vet? :-(

Im not sure. I don't know if there is a test for like mareks or specific diseases/infections or not. I think vets could really only tell you if its an infection or something, but it might help if you can't get any more answers on here.
