One of my toms is showing some symptoms of a respitory problem. I can hear him gurgling a bit when he breaths but other than that there is nothing else. His color looks normal, activity and eating normal, no discharge or swelling. I know available medications are very specific. Is there something basic I could try?

Edited to add - he is a little less than a year old, and free ranges the barn yard with 1 other tom and a hen. I noticed the gurgle about a week ago. No one else is doing it and all of my chickens are healthy too.

get a bottle of tylan 50. you can give a shot in the breast or by my mouth. 2 cc. slowley squirt in the side of his mouth. or small needle in the breast, but not in the crop. you can feel the crop. it works fast.
