I know I know..a month ago I wad debating getting rid of my polish and now I have turkey poults lol. They are just too cute at the feed store so I couldnt pass them up! I picked up 2 yesterday, both seemed pretty lively, drinking and eating well. There is on that just seems a bit off, its either a midget white, or a royal plam, but the didnt know. When they are shipped those are the only two white turkeys in the mixed rare breed category. Has a little bit of black on the tips of the fluff but hard to tell still. Well anyways, they both like to curl up to eachother and sleep, but this one seems to be more unsteady on its feet, closes its eyes a lot, and has a slight crackle to it today. I have already been reading the other posts and I put the molasses and the ACV in the water, and it is still eating. I just want to make sure this little one tries to pull through. Is it just a waiting game at this point pretyt much? Thanks for any help.

Turkeys are harder than chicks in my opinion. And my experience is less than alot on here. However, with the 5 turkey poults that I got this year I was told to give them antibiotics for the first week that I had them just to help them fight off any kind of infection due to stress along with vitamins/electrolytes in their water. So I did and they're all fine and growing like mad now.

I hope it gets better

Thank you for your input

I did go out and get a tetracycline anitbiotic that im putting in their water, so hopefully all goes well. Thanks for helping me out, Turkeys are def more work in the beginning than chickens lol

Yes they are...but they sure let ya' know that they love ya' by pecking you! Climbing on you! Cocking their head just right to see your face right! Yeah, they're worth it
