Hi all,
I believe I have a sick turkey on my hands. All 4 were acting fine yesterday, but when I checked on them this morning one turkey was acting odd.
She was separate from the other turkeys, which didn't worry me as she is a bit of a loner and is often off by herself. However, she was just standing there with her head buried under her wing/in her body. She didn't move when I approached her. She did eventually pull her head out and look at me when I made a noise, but then went back to hiding her head.
After a little while, she moved into the shelter and laid down, again hiding her head. I called her and she got up and walked over to me, but then laid down again and closed her eyes.
Not too sure what is going on with her. We were planning on butchering them soon, but now I don't know what to do--if she's sick, I'm assuming we shouldn't eat her.
