One of my very small flock was just off again today. She has been bedraggled since they all got a lice infection (treated). The others have grown nice new feathers. They all eat layers pellets, treats are commercial chicken scratch and small pinches of bread.

Last week the short feathers at the top of her head started looking sparse. Treated for lice again with Frontline for puppies.

Yesterday it was VERY hot, much more than usual for May in Washington. She laid around with her beak open, and I thought she was expiring soon. By evening she had revived and was happily eating treats

This morning she seemed better until they were released from the run for some foraging. She posed for a picture. What do you think?

Is she being pecked by other chickens or a rooster? What are you feeding her? Do you have any vitamins with electrolytes or poultry drench to give her along with some water? I would also offer some cooked egg and wet chicken feed made watery. Do you see lice moving and lice eggs on her? How are you treating the lice? How are her droppings? Does she lay eggs?
