I have 17 wyandotten from march hatching. Today when he come out of the coop his tail fathers are side ways. Not sure if it’s injury or something else. I am worried 😧 anyone experienced such a thing before all eating well and happy pls help any advise appreciated.

Please share some clear pictures of the feathers, they’re quite necessary in this case. Is he in any pain?

Thank you very much for the quick replay no pain as I can tell and the skin under the feathers looks clean and no skin injury she grabs on my fingers and eating and drinking with the others. I only noticed today yesterday she was fine.

It could be wry tail. This can be fixed with vitamins if caught early enough, but if not, it is permanent and doesn’t cause any issues. Hopefully someone who is more experienced can offer more advice.
Thank you 🙏 they get vitamins and loads of things but I will add extra

My rooster is like this, doesn’t affect him in any way, just looks funny. It was too late for me to fix it as I was given him. He’s still a normal, happy and healthy chicken!

Mine wasn’t hatched that way either. I’ve tried vitamins for him since I had gotten him and it hasn’t done much. You can try vitamins, doesn’t hurt to try them out, but if it doesn’t fix the issue, your chicken will be fine.
