I knew I would be walking out of the feed store this morning with a box full of banties as soon as the guys said "they are here!" They know how much I love banties and they know I can't resist them
So, 8 little babies came home with me -none of which I needed but who ever does "need" more, we just "want" more, lol.
Photos coming soon. They are getting settled into their cage and meeting their older sisters - two 2 week old standard Barred Rocks who are playing Mommy to the little ones right now. I only put the little ones in their cage while I got a new one set up, but they seem to be loving each other so I put them all together in a bigger cage. Not sure how long it will last since the BRs are going to get big pretty quick, but for now, everyone is happy
I know I have one white Silkie in the bunch but the rest are a mystery, like most straight run banties from the feed store. 6 of them have feathered legs, at least one of them is a cochin I'm sure and the others are chipmunky like EE's but different. I'm interested to see what they are. The one with clean legs has chipmunk markings but very long, thin legs. I have a little red one with yellow skin, feathered legs and 5 toes. Definitely not a Silkie...no vault, no beard, no black skin. Anyone have an idea what it might be give that description?
