Just joined up to learn more about my Rhode Island Reds. I have 4 of them (no roosters). Just waiting for eggs now. I got 2 in March and 2 more in late April. They love it when I bring them grass in the evening, and they have been enjoying squash, and tomatoes from the garden. They also have laying mash and plenty of water. It's been pretty hot the last couple of months so I'm sure they would prefer some cooler weather.

from West Virginia! Glad you joined us! I have 2 Buff Orpingtons and 3 Reds..still waiting to figure out what kind of reds. I took them a squash and a plum out yesterday. They attacked the plum like it was the best thing they had ever eaten! I got mine at the end of March so I'm currently on Egg Watch 2012.

One of my Buff's is a roo. He was supposed to be female but I guess he didn't get the memo!

Welcome to the coop!!!
