...of a hen just starting to go broody? Last night when I was collecting eggs one of the BOs was not in her normal roosting spot, but rather over in the nesting area. I wasn't worried, until I noticed that when I moved her to reach the eggs she kind of stood/leaned over one of the eggs(you know how they roll it under them but don't completely sit down yet?). She still let me take the egg, but was more watchful than the others. Just curious if this would mean she is starting to go broody/having brooding thoughts, or not? Sounds like maybe. Watch her and if you go out tomorrow to get eggs and she's sitting in the box and gets all crabby when you reach for the eggs then yep that's broody.
