I know absolutely nothing about turkeys. We have two of them at the farm, both girls. One of them apparently is pretty old, not sure about the age. The younger one is probably between 3 and 5, I'm really not sure.

The old lady is having trouble walking, she's limping, can't keep her balance and she's just going down hill really fast. The other girl has some sort of a cough/sneezing going on. The silkies and cochin bantams in the coop next door had some sort of sniffles that just refuse to go away. I don't have enough knowledge about poultry diseases and couldn't find away to cure them, so I sent two hens to a university to have a necropsy done. I'm hoping to hear results soon.
All the birds are in quarantine until I find out what's going on.

So, watching this poor turkey hobble around got me wondering if it's a disease or is she really just dying of old age? What are signs of a turkey getting old?

I'm not sure really. I have a hen who is 6 and she is not showing any signs of old age. Have you checked her feet make sure she hasn't hurt one. I hope you get your results soon as to what diseases the animals have. That may at least help you treat the ones that are still unwell.

I checked her feet, legs, hips...her whole body. It wasn't easy, they don't get handled much but I didn't find anything that would cause a problem walking.
