Silkie and Showgirl?

Ok, are these two different breeds or what? Do some silkies not have the headfeathers and beards?

yeah showgirl is just a name, but there can be showgirl rooster, haha. MOST silkies have crests. i say most because alot of times hatchery stock ones will only have a large comb and no crest. they are still considered silkies. Also you can get silkies in non bearded.

A showgirl is a silkie that many generations back had been crossed with a NN... I think people have different opinions on whether a showgirl is a variation of silkie or its own thing...
