Hi, my first time wintering bantams, unfortunately only 4, one a silkie.

tl/dr: Anything I need to know about keeping them cozy when it hits the negative Temps? Thinking of getting a rafiant warmer panel for when the temp gets brutal.

What I'm already doing: mostly insulated and vented bantam coop, weekly fresh straw/hemp bedding inside coop and in run. Make sure water isn't frozen. The run is mostly but not quite done being covered with plastic to keep out wind. Going to also cut a piece of shower curtain for a door flap.

Make sure she can roost. You may be able to have a heated water bucket, if you have access to an electrical outlet. Or you could take them "Silver Tea" (warm water).

Nice thick bedding is a great idea--never used hemp, do you like it?

Good luck to you!
