Silkie bantams?

Hello all you chick pros! I got a wild hair and decided to branch out from my existing breeds and picked up 7 adorable chicks from TSC. They were in the "assorted bantams" bucket, but I think I got all of the same breed. They have 5 toes and feathered legs. Are these silkies? Also, they are yellow so will they turn white?

They are not Silkies, and the only other 5 toed chicken breed with feathered legs would be Faverolle.

Thanks for your input! I have some research to do now. I sure hope sultans have good temperments!

1 person says faverolle, and 3 say sultan. I looked up sultans and am excited! They are adorable! Any other input?

Definitely not faverolle, they are Sultans, and you are lucky to have found 7 of them. They are among my top favorite breeds, due to their unique beauty and temperament!

I just read that sultans are on the ALBC critically endangered list. If they are critically endangered, I would think they would be very difficult to find. Did I just luck out?!

One of my goals in breeding chickens is to try to preserve endangered breeds! This seems too good to be true!
