We have adopted two silkie Bantums. They were hatched on 7 May and have laid eggs yet. They have a healthy diet and a wonderful roomy coop to theirselves. Any reason why they are behind schedule? Our full size hens laid almost to the day on schedule. Just wondering . . . . They are so much fun anyway!:P

Silkies can be slow to start laying...it is not uncommon to read about waiting 7 or 8 months, even longer sometimes.

Then they go broody!
