Silkie beds for cuddling

Hi everyone, I home hatched 12 Silkie chicks who are now 8 weeks old. They love to cuddle together in an old dog bed I put in their brooder. Now that I’m getting ready to move them to their coop, does anyone have any suggestions or something you created for your puddle of love Silkies? I’ve been putting shavings in the bed to help with the transition, I’ll keep using it in the bed. I’m using sand in the coop and run. Do you raise it off the floor or leave them on the floor?

I'd leave it on the floor while they acclimate to the coop.
