Hi all,
I hatched some silkies a week ago, the father is white, with white, splash and black hens.
Just wondering what colour the chicks will turn out. Also, are silkies meant to have feathering wings? The hens were with other roosters around 3 weeks before the eggs were layed, and I am slightly concerned that it might be the father, it was a gold laced Wyandotte.

The ones with the stripes I think are going to be chipmunks (the pattern, not the animal). And the white one will be white. And the black one will be black. I think you’ve also got a splash silkie....maybe. Feathering this early isn’t uncommon. If it came up in the first few days that’s mean it is more likely to be a boy.
