Silkie chick w/spraddle leg

I have a little Silkie chick with spraddle leg. I know what to do to attempt to fix it (band-aid brace) but what about the feathers on it's legs?? I'm not sure how to protect the feathers from the STICKY band-aid. Anyone have some insight to share with me? Thanks!

put the bandaid on anyway. When the baby fluff comes out so will the bandaid. If you are really concerned put some tape, sticky side on the bandaid's sticky side, where the feathers are.

Without the assistance, be it sticky or not, how long will it live. I think pulling a few feathers off a leg is a whole lot better than not helping it.
