I have this silkie chick that’s a few weeks old I noticed that it’s bent was prolapsed a few days ago. I separated it and have been feeding it hard boiled egg yolk, with yogurt and wet chickstarter. It eats off of my finger but I have not seen it eat or drink on it’s own. I have been putting prep-Hixed with honey on it and have been pushing the prolapse back in with Vaseline. I also put theramycin on it and have it half of a baby aspirin. I give it an Epsom salt bath before apply everything and pushing it back in. I hold it in for like 2 minutes but when I let go it just goes right back out after a minute. I have been giving it homemade electrolyte water. I’m not sure what to do because it just keeps popping back out. It is wet in the picture because that was after it’s bath.

I only have a little bit of experience with this, so hopefully someone with more experience can come and guide you as well. I used a hydrocortizone creme and pressed the prolapse back into my chick after every time she pooped for about a day and a half; I used a q-tip lubricated with coconut oil (as it was the safest oil I had on hand) to gently press the prolapse back into place, and then applied a thin coat of hyrocoritzone creme to the vent 3-4 times daily. After the day and a half she stopped prolapsing, though her vent remained swollen for another day after as I monitored her. She did survive and is well now. I have read that hydrocortizone is preffered over Prep-H but both uses are off-label, so I have no proof one way or another as I don't think it's been studied.

Ok thank you, I will try.

the silkie chick is doing a lot better today I think that what helped him the most was the epsom salt bath and the soft foods.

Very glad to hear it. I like to monitor healing prolapse chickens for at least a week if possible to make sure it doesn't happen again in the short term. A quick peek of the vent will do it.
