I have this 3 month old silkie chick that has been kinda walked a little wobbly since birth, but it’s never affected her quality of life. It’s seemed to be getting better as she aged and gained strength. However, today I went to check on everybody and I noticed she was dramatically limping on her right leg. I felt along her leg bones to make sure nothing was broken, when I realized her right fibula bone area was sticking out way more than the left side was. It doesn’t appear to be because of swelling but just because of the bone. I’ve never encountered anything like this before and she seems to be in pain.

Do yall think it’s genetic? If so why is it all of a sudden becoming a problem in one day? Or did it pop out of a socket?

I’m going to give her some nutridrench for some extra strength. And I’ll try to get some decent pics through all her feathers.

first pic is the injured right side and second is the normal left.

Pictures of the pullet standing might be helpful. It could be a leg bone deformity such as vaurs or valgus deformity. Here are some links about that:

Thank you for the links! Besides her limp, you can’t really see anything wrong with her unless you peek through some of her fluffy feathers, but I’ll send a pic of her standing up anyways!
