Hi guys I have 3 silkies I recently just bought, my rooster has this funny looking comb which idk if this is normal for them or not but can some one tell me if I were to hatch eggs from these girls does that mean that my chicks will have the messed up comb when there older to or no sorry if this doesn’t make sense I’m not very good at explaining!!

Photos didn't come through, so I am assuming there is something unusual in the male's comb.

I can tell you to never use a bird who has any structural defect as that WILL likely breed forward at some point (depending if the trait is recessive or dominant).

Not seeing the photo, I can't guess as to what trait you've got going...but Silkies should have a walnut comb which is a pea comb gene plus a rosecomb gene. Likely your Silkie has an incomplete on that combo to give some sort of funk or something in his pass genetic history is now raising up.

Anywho....don't breed forward traits that you'll simply have to deal with later.
