Silkie chicken gender

I purchased this silkie for 20$ from a friend and I plan on buying more for breeding but I don’t know if it is a rooster or hen and I was hoping someone would know,thanks for any help

Silkies are very hard to sex. Typically at a few months old, its still early to tell. Males will have streamers/messy hair and females will have a nicer, round "poof" on top.
 
If you know what the parents or birds from the same breeder look like, use that as a reference. To me, that beak shape looks kinda boyish, but that might just be genetics. At that age, my girl also had a lot more poof - but once again genetics. You should see no waddle movement for a while yet if it's a girl - not till at least 12 weeks.
Keep an eye out for personality queues - my girl was always girlish... even as a chick. I was always paranoid she was a sneaky male until the eggs came around 26 weeks- she even started to 'girl-crow' right before she came into lay.
