Welcome! Just write the dates on the eggs when you put them in. As long as they're not older than about a week and a half they should incubate just fine. We ship eggs all over the US and it takes us on average about 2-3 days to collect enough to fill (sometimes 1 if it's a small order) We have had good feedback on the eggs hatching that we ship. It usually takes 3 days on average once they leave us to get to their destination and then they need to rest for a day, so by the time they make it into the incubator they're 5 days to a week old. Development doesn't start (Day 1 of 21) until you put them in the incubator, so as long as the 6 aren't too old when you put them in you should be fine. Best of luck and happy hatching.I am a first time chicken owner and i am loving it !! I live in South Carolina where we have 4 seasons and i am a bit concerned about moving juvinals into the coop in Winter. I am very interested in learning '' ALL" there is to know about my flock, I have 20 birds Buff Orphingtons,Americanas, Whiteleg , Game, Polish and my precious Silkies. I currently have 8 in the incubator and 6 waiting to go in. I am confused about the store time before incubating and i am just going to use trial and error at this point. I am looking forward to learning and getting to know you guys.
