Silkie Chick's Beak?

My silkie chick's beak points almost straight down at the tip. It looks almost like a raptor's beak. It's about 6 weeks old. ( I was wondering if a hawk got into the hen house when I wasn't looking.)

Is this normal?

Sounds like the beak is deformed. Can you get pics of it? If it's not to bad, the bird should be able to eat and drink fine, just shouldn't be bred.

My new silkie is the same way? Did you end up trimming the beak or were you able to keep it the way it was? Mine has been able to eat and drink, but I'm a litte concerned.
