Hi im posting this again as i posted it in the wrong topic

Im taking my White Silkie to her first show in a couple of weeks and really want to know what products i should use to make her realy white and sparkle???

Why not try asking that on the Silkie thread? There are lots of show folks in there, so you will get many "recipes" for cleaning the White Silkie.

[Sonoran Silkies]

Bathe her a week before the show. I use Sergeant's Gold dog or cat flea/tick shampoo. Some say to use Tide with bleach alternative on whites. The sparkliest and shiniest I ever got a bird was using a shampoo made for parrots--need to go to a bird store for it, and it's expensive, but with one bird I would be tempted to use that as my mainstay. But I have a lot more birds than one.

Use white vinegar to work on any stains. I've given up using bluing or shampoos for white horses or dogs--even a drop dully diluted sometimes turns feathers blue or purple.

Glycerin in the rinse water also helps make them shine.
