Silkie Cockerel- adult feathering?

Just curious— when do silkie cockerels get their adult plumage? My partridge guy is ~5months old and still has a lot of fluffy black/grey baby feathers. It looks like he’s slowly going red, and someone is getting rather impatient about him growing up. He just got his streamers but still hasn’t crowed (knock on wood that he’s a quiet one!!).

They should have them at 16 weeks. Did you hatch him yourself? If not they may have lied about his age. If he is getting pecked, he should be seperated till his plumage grows in.

Ah, this is true. Forgot to mention this. Do you know what an aduly silikie looks like?
