I have a Silkie Roo and I am just curious to know what his color would be called. Is he still considered Blue? I have two blue hens but they are a lot darker than he is.

He is blue. Handsome fella.

Blue can range from so light that it looks lavender, to so dark that it looks black.

Thank you, that’s good to know! I have some chicks off of him and a couple of them I'm like are you blue or are you black. My mind changes daily

Looks like you have several shades of blue. Possibly one black (in the back).
I have a hard time seeing the difference between the black and the dark blue chicks sometimes too. Sometimes you have to wait until they completely feather in to be certain, even then it can be tricky!
