hi, my silkie just layed her first egg at 18 weeks!! she did just fine, egg was just perfect!! im so proud!!!

Ha! I am from Halifax Co. Va! We used to travel passed Halifax Community College every summer on our way to OBX! Sorry for the sidetrack.

My silkie pullet is seven months and I have yet to see an egg or any sign of eggs. No hurry or anything; I love my silkie pair whether I get eggs or not. I am slightly jealous, though.

I'm MUCH further south then you girls

Don't feel too bad though... my silkie was past 30 weeks before her first egg. I am proud of her everyday though, small but delicious!!!

(I'm hoping my 20 week olds start in the next couple of weeks.)
