Silkie eggs

I bought a silkie hen last summer in July or August when I got her she was at least two months old she is almost a year old and I have never gotten an egg from her when will she start laying

It could be any day now, it could be a couple of weeks. Who knows. If it makes you feel any better, a couple of my hens haven't started laying until they were way past the 1 year mark.

The fluffier ladies seem to take longer to start, maybe its because they take forever to finish growing all of their feathers or something. Its very common for Silkies to take a long time to do just about anything
