Silkie feed?

Hi I just joined this forum and its really amazing!
I also just got some chickens, I got 2 silkie hens and a silkie rooster, my question is whats the best feed for them to lay good eggs, is it the egg laying mix they have at most feed stores, or is it something else, I currently have gamebird and turkey starter crumble which has about 24% of protein, is that good enough or should I get the egg laying feed?
Also, How may eggs will a silkie lay in a week in average?

How old did you say they were? If they are laying, they should be on layer crumble. My silkies do not like pellets. I do feed gamebird grower during the cold months and I also supplement their feed with chopped up veggies, rice and scrambled eggs. I don't give them alot of scratch..sometimes for a treat.

My hens lay about 3-4 eggs a week, each then after laying about 20 eggs, there is always someone that is going broody!!!!
