Silkie feet

The Silkie SOP is 10 toes, so if it's only got 8, then the quality of the bird is probably poorer, or it's not pure. So the answer is no, the bird will not be more valuable.

I know that silkies with 8 toes are common but are 10 toed silkies more valuable I would assume so am I right or wrong?
Silkies are supposed to have 5 toes on each foot, period. If it doesn't, it's probably a mix, although I've seen breeders say their pure ones occasionally pop out a 4-toed or 6-toed one.

If you want to know a couple of defining differences in silkies that makes the price go up is if they are vaulted and bearded as compared to not, and color. Backyard/pet silkies always have at least a crest though or pom pom, and will also have black skin, 5 toes, and mine tend to be satins (smooth vs. fuzzy, and are cheaper.) I have both, raise both, and sell both, but trying to phase out the backyard ones. Colors like cuckoo, buff, paints, etc. will go for more than the other colors.
