Silkie Gender

These chickens were sold as three girls... This morning, we heard a crow! We are not sure if this means one is definitely a boy, as I've heard hens can crow if they are dominant.

Here they are. Any opinions welcome!

agreed. imo, though I'm not the expert, it's not a pure silkie either because of the red comb. The comb looks similar to my silkie roo (who isn't pure silkie).

I thought she/ he wasn't pure. Thanks for the input! I don't really want chicks hatching, as we don't have the resources and time so I'm thinking he might have to go back to the breeder

I don't want that as he/ she is my favourite!

I really want a silkie. But cant have a rooster so.

I am trash at it. The blue-ish bird is looking like a cockerel though.

They're about 5 months old... I think. I'm pretty sure the white ones are both hens and it was the grey/ blue one I heard crowing. He's also very dominant and gets cross! So I guess back to the breeder he must go

I'm actually not positive I don't see streamers on the white ones. Like I said though - I avoid sexing Silkies because I'm just no good at it.
