Silkie Haircuts?

Hi i just ordered a couple silkies and polish chicks, i was wandering do i have to cut the feathers away from their eyes to see. Thanks for the help.

You don't HAVE to. I don't have any Silkie or Polish but I do have a Sultan and I finally gave her a haircut and I think she's very happy about it. Sometimes she used to wander around crying, especially toward bed time and I think she was trying to hear where everyone else was so she could go to bed. Now she can see, which is also safer for her when everyone is out free ranging. Yes, it takes away from the look, but I think it's better for them.
