I have silkie eggs available. My girls are really laying. They are in a mixed color pen. So its a color suprise! I can individually wrap the eggs in an effort to handle the weather temp.
25.00 for a dz including shipping, or happy with a pick up in Central Texas

I have white and partridge hens and blue and partridge roos.

OK, forgive my ignorance.... blue covering white will give a splash, right? Blue covering partridge = ???
Partridge covering white =???

Thats why I called it suprise!

I really dont know. Splash, yes ...sometimes...sometimes they are just blue......Sometimes they are partridge. I have one that turned out grayish....
they have been neat looking colors. But I don't have anyway to tell. But they have been hatching healthy for me and I just lov'um!

blue and partridge usually will give you a blue colored partridge
partridge and white will probably give you a lite colored partridge

blue + white does not = splash

Blue is a Dilute gene over black gene....2 copies of the dilute gene = splash

DH just reminds me that we don't have a partridge roo, its a buff roo and that I forgot Elvis....he's black

So to recap.....thats white and partridge hens and buff, blue and black Roo's

Anyway, I'm pretty dumb when it comes to colors, but doesn't the white in silkies cover up black(or similar color)?
