Thank you I have some dry feed available for her I will try some wet as well. She's got liquid vitamin B in her water I will try to get more of that into her. I have looked all over for mites, legs and body I don't see anything. She is missing from feathers from being broody as well as being mated. My girls so broody a lot and I always pluck them on thr nests several times a day to try and break them. Since she's in my bathroom she's still making a broody noise I think she's trying to stay broody but is coming out of it so it's been difficult to work with her. Thank you for you response and advice I appreciate it!Be sure to give some wet and dry balanced chicken feed for vitamins and minerals along with a small bit of egg and the vitamins. Human super B complex tablets, around $9 at Walmart, can be crushed and given in food or whole orally 1/4 tablet daily. They have all B vitamins including riboflavin/B2. Silkies tend to go broody a lot, and I usually broke them immediately in a broody crate or pen to prevent becoming weak and sick. Check her for any scaly leg mites (crusty raised scales) and mites or lice on her body that could weaken her more.
Although because I've never really seen feather loss on the chin and front and back neck depluming mites did cross my mind before she got sick. Shes been off and on broody. This most recent broodyness few went broody before her so she was one that was out and about more taking more of a hit with mating. Some feathers have regrown but I thought the loss was a little questionable considering placement a little high for broody plucking? And I don't see anything else like this on anyone else so I assumed it was from broodyness and over mating. Thinking maybe I should treat her with elector psp just to be safe?Thank you I have some dry feed available for her I will try some wet as well.
