Silkie Hen

Good morning! I have a few questions... My silkie hen has been acting like she is sitting, but no eggs. I take them away from her and she still sits in her nest. I pick her up and she runs around outside the coop for a bit and then she goes right back. She is eating and drinking. Just not being social. I checked to see if she has an egg stuck, but I didn't feel anything..
What do I do? Anything will help. I want her back to her usual self.

She may very well be broody. How old is she? Does she fluff up and sorta hiss at you when reaching under her? If you want her to hatch some chicks, keep some eggs under her. If not, there are several resources here to help you break your broody.

Have you checked her feet? I wonder if there's an injury.

She hisses and fluff's up when we even open the lid...she is very territorial.
