I had a thread before this one about the same thing but this time I actually weighed her. My silkie just turned 1 as well s the flock but she is my only silkie and she seems tiny. I weighed her and she isn't a pound but is 944kg. Do scales matter? I used this small squarish one. (digital).

I am not a silkie expert by far. Curious I looked up average weight said 18 oz Silkie Bantam hen
We have 1 rooster and 3 hens. One is quite small. She is the best egg layer of the 3. Runs around like a sports car on steroids. I have watched her chase some of the brahma hens around, but then seen her picked on also.
I doubt she is much over a pound.
Your scale should not matter , but may be off a percentage. Weigh another product on your scale and check it
944 KG is over 2 pounds

To be fair I am terrible at reading scales so on that note does that mean when the scale say 2.200 something It kept changing but that's what it said about my other hen so I thought it was just 2 lbs. And now I'm thinking that's wrong.

YOu will have to see if its metric or pounds. Maybe you can change the settings between the 2.
I could imagine weighing a chicken may be somewhat difficult unless confined.
My daughter wanted silkies last year, never had them before. The smallest 1 is the most active. She is a real go getter.

my silkie has never liked me holding her the way I do with the standards so I let her stand or perch on my arms or hands. So trying to get her on the scale was weird but easier than i thought. Plus it was all muddy so her feet were muddy. (Snow is melting)
